On the basis of standard information about the borrower and the transaction structure, specialists at UniCredit Bank conduct an express analysis of the possibility of granting a loan. If the express analysis indicates a positive decision, a detailed analysis is then conducted as a prerequisite to drafting the loan application. It normally takes a month to draft a loan application — 1—2 weeks for clients with a credit history in UniCredit Bank — and much depends on the completeness of the information supplied by the client and its timely submission.
The following subdivisions of the Bank are involved with the drafting of the loan transaction:
1. The Client Relations Department
This is the first department to contact the borrower. It prepares
the basic terms and conditions of the loan in a standard format and
forwards a questionnaire to the borrower.
2. The Loans Department
This department
negotiates the transaction with the client’s loans officer and
holds a joint meeting with the borrower’s management. It collects
and reviews information, draws up the structure of the transaction,
and drafts the loan application.
3. The Risk Control Department
This department reviews loan applications and provides an
independent opinion as to the credit risk and the transaction
structure.
4. The Loans Committee
This department approves loans to the extent of its competence.
5. The Loans Department
This department drafts loan documents and security documents, and
agrees them with the client and appropriate subdivisions of
UniCredit Bank.
6. The Client Relations Department/Loans
Department
This department arranges for the signing
of loan documents and verifies the powers of the signatories.
7. The Loans Department
This department
ensures that the originals of the loan documents and internal
documents required to use the loan are drafted.
8. The Loan Settlement Department
This department verifies that the preliminary terms and conditions
are fulfilled and that the loan application is used.
