Corporate Art Collection of UniCredit Bank
UniCredit Bank is an active and successful participant of cultural pursuits of our society, following the European tradition of the cultural projects patronage.
The Bank’s special project is the art collection of Russian Post Avant-Garde painters. This choice can be explained by the ethical significance of the art born from a dialogue with Avant-Garde and the special role it played and still plays in Russia. Represented in the Bank’s collection are both the works of the 1920s and 1930s and later masterpieces of the painters involved in the artistic process of that period. This reflects a specific approach to the formation of the art collection as a pool of works by talented Post Avant-Garde painters, whose creativity got inspiration from the system of cultural, artistic and moral values that emerged in the 1920s and persisted in the following decades, undergoing changes, but remaining relevant.
The corporate collection of UniCredit Bank includes the works representing independent art that was not officially recognized at the time of its creation, but is of a special value today. Those works are presented at the Head Office of UniCredit Bank in Moscow.
The collection flaunts rare works of Russian Post Avant-Garde representatives, such as Daniil Cherkes, Leonid Zusman, Rostislav Barto, Nadezhda Udaltsova, Antonina Sofronova and others. Among the most valuable masterpieces is Dream by Leonid Chupyatov, Woman for All Times by Daniil Cherkes, Landscape with a Railway Bridge and In the Mountains of Armeniaby Alexander Drevin as well as a rare work by Nadezhda Udaltsova titled Still Life with Hunter's Bag and Rifle, one of its versions housed at The State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow.
